| Shared context | 15% | 3.5 | Context is shared within a crew and its flows. |
| Coordination reliability | 15% | 4.0 | Tracing, deployments and flows with state. |
| Governance built in | 10% | 4.0 | RBAC, audit trails and policy controls. |
| Deployment options | 10% | 4.5 | Cloud or your own infrastructure on Enterprise. |

What is CrewAI AMP?
CrewAI is an MIT-licensed Python framework for 'orchestrating role-playing, autonomous AI agents.' AMP is the managed layer on top: crew deployments, API access, observability, a tool repository, webhook streaming and Crew Studio, a no-code builder. Crews run in a sequential process or a hierarchical one where CrewAI 'automatically assigns a manager', and Flows add event-driven control with state.
Can CrewAI AMP work with agents outside CrewAI?
CrewAI's A2A support is better than most. Its docs describe A2A as 'a first-class delegation primitive', with client, server and hybrid modes and several auth options, and crews can be served over A2A. MCP works through an agent field or an adapter over stdio, streamable HTTP or SSE. That makes CrewAI a good citizen in a multi-framework setup. The platform itself is still designed around crews: agents from other frameworks are called by a crew rather than collaborating in a shared space.
Where do humans fit in CrewAI AMP?
People take part through human-in-the-loop checkpoints: a crew pauses, a person approves or edits, and the crew continues. That is right for approval-style work. It is not the same as people and several agents working the same task in one room with a shared history.
How much does CrewAI AMP cost?
Basic is free with 50 workflow executions per month, the visual editor and AI copilot, GitHub integration and community support. Enterprise is custom, with execution volume 'sized to workflow', SSO, RBAC, workload identity, PII redaction, 45-day onboarding and dedicated engineering support. There is no self-serve paid tier on the page we reviewed.
How do CrewAI AMP and BAND work together?
CrewAI is on BAND's integrations list. Teams that like CrewAI for how agents work inside a crew can keep it, and use BAND to put crews in rooms with LangGraph, ADK or Copilot Studio agents and with the people who oversee them.
What stands out
- First-class A2A as client, server or both
- Run on CrewAI cloud or your own infrastructure (Enterprise)
- Free Basic tier to start
- Large open-source community
Watch-outs
- Designed around CrewAI crews
- People join through checkpoints, not a shared workspace
- Paid pricing is custom only
Who is CrewAI AMP for?
Python teams standardized on CrewAI who want managed deployment and governance for their crews.
Who should look elsewhere?
You run agents on several frameworks and want them, and your team, collaborating in one place. BAND connects CrewAI to the rest.
