What is Gemini Enterprise?

Gemini Enterprise is where Google wants employees to meet agents. People can discover agents, build their own, share them with colleagues and run them against company data from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and other connected apps. For developers, Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) is the path to building custom agents.

Can Gemini Enterprise bring in agents built elsewhere?

Google created the A2A protocol, so it is no surprise Gemini Enterprise can register A2A agents. At the time of review this feature is in preview. It requires an agent compatible with A2A v0.3 (v1.0.0+ through compatibility packages) that you host yourself. Custom MCP servers are supported as data sources, including import from Agent Registry. One detail matters for security reviews: Google notes that Model Armor console settings 'don't automatically protect A2A agents'.

Where do humans fit in Gemini Enterprise?

This is Gemini Enterprise's strongest area. It is designed for employees, with agents presented as things people use and share across the company. What it does not provide is a room where several agents, from different vendors, and several people work the same task with delivery tracking between agents.

Can you use Gemini Enterprise with BAND?

Gemini and Google ADK are both on BAND's integrations list. A team can keep employee-facing agents in Gemini Enterprise and use BAND where agents from Google, Microsoft, Salesforce and open-source frameworks need to work together with people.

What else should you know?

Business starts at $21 per seat per month for up to 300 seats. Standard and Plus start at $30 per seat per month. A pay-as-you-go option has no seat fee. Google offers 30-day free trials.

Yes, through A2A agent registration, which is in preview. You host the agent yourself.

Custom MCP servers are supported as data sources, including import from Agent Registry.

Partly. It is excellent for employees using agents. Agent-to-agent collaboration across vendors is still maturing, with A2A registration in preview.
